South Bend has a proud history as a center of industry. Many of the people who were part of that history, working in businesses like Studebaker, Oliver Plow and South Bend Lathe, called the Rum Village neighborhood home. Today, as the sites of these historic businesses are prepared for new industry, Rum Village is still a place with a lot to offer.
If you are in the market for a new home, ask your agent to show you a home in Rum Village. If you are already a Rum Village resident, consider joining the Rum Village Neighborhood Association to get involved in neighborhood activities.
The neighborhood association meets on the second Wednesday of every month at Rum Village Nature Center, at 6 p.m. Call (574) 235-9455 for more information.
Thanks to the neighbors who came out for the Rum Village neighborhood picnic on September 17th.
